DOUBLE A Sizemore's doubles lead Aeros

AKRON -- Gary Sizemore had a two-run double in the first inning and a three-run double in Akron's nine-run third as the Aeros beat the Altoona Curve 13-2 Thursday night in Eastern League action.
Luis Gonzalez had an RBI single in the first and an RBI single and one-run double in the third for Akron.
Corey Smith had an RBI double in the third and a one-run triple in the eighth.
Former major-leaguer Paul Rigdon gave up one run on five hits in four innings before giving way to Ryan Larson (2-6), who got the win on four scoreless innings of relief. He gave up just two singles.
Sean Burnett (11-5), who took the loss, gave up eight runs, all earned, on eight hits in two innings.
Altoona scored on a bases-loaded double play in the first and Joe Caruso's RBI single to right field in the ninth.
New Haven 9, Erie 0
WEST HAVEN, Conn. -- Dustin McGowan tossed seven shutout innings for New Haven.
McGowan (5-0) allowed three hits, walked none and struck out eight.
Diego Markwell tossed two scoreless innings of relief, striking out three for New Haven (60-50).
New Haven had 13 hits. Danny Solano paced the Ravens offense with two runs scored and three RBIs. Russ Adams had three hits and two runs scored while Alexis Rios, Guillermo Quiroz and Tyrell Godwin had two hits and an RBI a piece.
The Ravens scored three runs on three hits in the first inning off Erie starter Adrian Burnside (1-2). Burnside allowed eight runs and 11 hits in six innings for the SeaWolves (54-58).
