Award recognizes well-maintained homes

WARREN -- City residents who keep their homes well-maintained and attractive will be recognized for their efforts.
For the sixth year, the City for Tomorrow Committee of Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber's Warren Area Council and Time Warner are sponsoring the Neighborhood Pride Award. Nominations are being sought.
The award is presented monthly to residences within the city that are exceptional examples of how keeping homes well-maintained and attractive contributes to a greater quality of life in their neighborhoods.
Each month's winner receives a recognition sign for outdoor placement and an award for a keepsake.
Monthly recipients are selected from all seven city wards.
An independent committee will travel throughout the city to select homes that are especially well-kept or distinguished by attractive flowerbeds, landscaping, vegetable gardens, private gardens and doorscapes.
For more information or to make a nomination, call Marge Haley at the chamber at (330) 392-6140 Ext. 15.
Nomination deadline is Aug. 15.
