Vandalism: Two male juveniles shot paint balls at Girard High School, 31 N. Ward Ave.
July 29
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into a vehicle at Direct Sales & amp; Leasing II, 801 N. State St., and removed an AM/FM-CD stereo.
LIBERTY
July 22
Arrest: After a traffic stop, police arrested a 48-year-old Youngstown man and charged him with two counts of receiving stolen property after police determined the vehicle he was driving had been stolen in Pennsylvania.
July 23
Criminal damage/attempted auto theft: Someone broke a vehicle's vent window and damaged its steering column in the 3100 block of Hadley Avenue before trying to steal it.
Theft: A woman reported an amplifier, 10 CDs and three beach towels removed from her vehicle when she went to pick it up at Miller's Towing, 4100 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A man in the 800 block of Tibbetts-Wick Road reported a gas grill stolen off his patio.
Theft: Someone removed a laptop computer from a garage at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way.
Auto theft: A 1996 Buick Century was stolen from a residence in the 10 block of Trumbull Court.
July 25
Theft: An employee at Wendy's restaurant, 4001 Belmont Ave., reported $80 removed from her backpack.
Vandalism: Someone smashed five of a vehicle's windows and broke its mirror in the 2000 block of Pleasant Valley Road.
Auto theft: A 1995 Cadillac Sedan DeVille was stolen in the 2900 block of Northview Drive.
Arrest: Police arrested a 46-year-old Youngstown man wanted on a felony theft charge.
July 26
Theft: A man stole six cartons of cigarettes from a BP gas station, 2703 Belmont Ave.
Arrest: After a traffic stop on state Route 193, police arrested a 37-year-old Youngstown man on a falsification charge.
Recovered property: Police recovered a stolen 1995 Cadillac DeVille in the Perkins Family Restaurant parking lot, 4322 Belmont Ave.
July 27
Arrests: After responding to a fight at the American Inn, 1600 Motor Inn Drive, police arrested six men, all under 21, on charges of prohibitions involving minors and alcohol after officers say they found beer and whiskey in the car. Two of the men also were charged with curfew violations; two men also faced charges of disorderly conduct; and one man faced one count of assault on an officer after police alleged he spit on them.
Criminal damage: Someone damaged a vehicle's steering column before trying to steal it in the 400 block of Mansell Drive.
Assault: A man and a woman said they were assaulted when four employees at Rainbow Rentals, 3620 Belmont Ave., came to their residence in the 20 block of Colonial Drive to retrieve property. The man alleged one of the employees pushed him, and the woman alleged the same employee grabbed a phone from her and caused the victim to injure her back.
Theft: A New London, Ohio, woman reported her wallet stolen while she waited for a ride at the Tally Ho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave.
July 28
Theft: A Naylor-Lloyd Road man reported an acquaintance took keys to the victim's car, apartment and mailbox.
Vehicle theft: A 1995 Pontiac Transport van and attached camper were stolen from the Holiday Inn MetroPlex parking lot, 1620 Motor Inn Drive.
Felonious assault: Two men in the 1700 block of Naylor-Lloyd Road reported three men shot at them as the suspects walked past the victims. One of the men was struck by pellets from the shotgun's shells.
HUBBARD
July 22
Theft: Police arrested a Hubbard woman on a theft charge after an employee at Devine's Shop 'n' Save, 529 N. Main St., reported a shoplifter.
July 25
Possible vehicle theft: A Youngstown-Hubbard Road man reported his daughter's minivan was borrowed without her permission.
Criminal mischief: A woman reported someone tossed eggs at the rear of her residence in the 500 block of Dorchester Drive.
July 26
Theft: A Hubbard woman reported her cellular phone stolen from her vehicle while it was on display at a car show at C's Waffle House, 920 W. Liberty St.
July 29
Breaking and entering: A woman in the 1000 block of Waugh Drive reported someone broke into her home and some kittens and a rabbit were missing.
