Mr. and Mrs. David F. Durrett observe their silver wedding anniversary

XDEERFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. David F. Durrett, 9954 Carter Ford Road, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Aug. 2 at a party at Local 1112 Pavilion in Lordstown.
Mr. Durrett and the former Karen Toot were married Aug. 5, 1978, at the Chapel of Friendly Bells in Youngstown. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and retired in 1998 from General Motors Corp. in Lordstown, where he was a stockman. He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Moose Lodge.
His wife was an assembler at GM until retiring in 1995.
Their family includes his children, David Durrett, Steve Durrett and Carrie Whitehouse, all of Youngstown, and five grandchildren.
