XSTRUTHERS -- The Rev. Philip Rogers officiated at the June 28 wedding of Melinda C. Hamilton, 2455 Johnnycake, Randolph, and Fred A. Furr III, 65 Hopewell Drive, which took place at 2 p.m. at St. Nicholas Church.
Later the newlyweds received guests during a reception at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church Center, Youngstown, then left for a honeymoon to Hawaii. They live at the groom's address.
The bride is a daughter of Bob and Judy Hamilton of the Randolph address. The groom is a son of Fred Furr Jr., 2273 Lyon Blvd., Poland, and Susan Walker of Richmond, Va.
The bride wore a white satin gown styled in a princess silhouette with a square neckline.
Honor attendants were the bride's sisters, Dawn and Ashley Hamilton. Bridesmaids were Kim Clowney, the groom's sister, and Angie Hagan, Barb Horvath and Jessica Eichler. They wore red dresses. Jordan Clowney, his niece, was flower girl.
Hugh Connolly served as best man. Groomsmen were Eddie Clowney, the groom's brother-in-law; Michael Husar, his cousin; and Reno Ferri, Nick Horvath and Josh Beach. Ring bearer was Ignatius Horvath.
Mrs. Furr will graduate next spring from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in physical education. She is the manager of Pocketchange Drive-thru, Hubbard.
Mr. Furr earned a bachelor's degree in history at YSU. He is a substitute teacher in Youngstown City School District.
