Schedule: Thursday-Sunday.Course: Royal Lytham & amp; St. Annes (England) Golf Club (6,308 yards, par 72).Purse: $1.6 million. Winner's share: $240,000.Television: TNT (Thursday-Friday, 10 a.m.-noon) and ABC (Saturday, 2-3:30 p.m.; Sunday, 2:30-4 p.m.).Last year: Australia's Karrie Webb won her sixth major title in four years, edging compatriot Michelle Ellis and Spain's Paula Marti by two strokes at Turnberry. Webb, also the 1995 and 1997 winner, became the first player to win the four current major championships and the defunct du Maurier Classic.
Last week: Juli Inkster won the Evian Masters in France for her 30th LPGA Tour title. The 43-year-old American had a tournament-record 21-under 267 total for a six-stroke victory over South Korea's Hee-Won Han.Notes: The tournament became an official LPGA Tour event in 1994 and was elevated to major status in 2001, replacing the du Maurier. ... Webb set tournament records in 1997 at Sunningdale with a 19-under 269 total and an eight-stroke victory margin. ... Annika Sorenstam is seeking her first victory in the event. She tied for 17th last week in France, 14 strokes behind Inkster. ... The 2004 event will be played at Sunningdale and the 2005 tournament is set for Royal Birkdale. ... Sherri Steinhauer won the 1998 and 1999 tournaments. ... The LPGA Tour will be in Ohio the next two weeks for the Wendy's Championship in Dublin and Jamie Farr Kroger Classic in Sylvania.

Winner's share: $720,000.Television: USA (Thursday-Friday, 4-6 p.m.) and CBS (Saturday-Sunday, 3-6 p.m.).Last year: Tiger Woods won the fourth of five 2002 PGA Tour titles, beating Mark O'Meara, Fred Funk, Brian Gay and Esteban Toledo by four strokes.Last week: Peter Jacobsen won the Greater Hartford Open at age 49, his seventh career victory and first since 1995. Jacobsen, also the 1984 Hartford winner, held off Chris Riley by two strokes.Notes: Woods, coming off a fourth-place tie in the British Open, has replaced his Nike driver with the Titleist 975D model he first used in 1997. ... Ben Curtis is making his first start since winning the British Open. ... Kenny Perry, the 2001 winner, has won three of his last six events. ... Sergio Garcia and Phil Mickelson beat Woods and Ernie Els 3 and 1 Monday night in the Battle at The Bridges in Rancho Sante Fe, Calif. ... The International is next week in Castle Rock, Colo., followed by the PGA Championship at Oak Hill in Rochester, N.Y.

Winner's share: $225,000.Television: The Golf Channel (Friday-Sunday, 1:30-4:30 p.m., 8-10:30 p.m.).Last year: Bob Gilder won a playoff for the second straight week, beating John Mahaffey with a birdie on the third extra hole. Gilder beat Hale Irwin on the first playoff hole in the SBC Senior Open a week earlier.Last week: Tom Watson won the Senior British Open at Turnberry, beating England's Carl Mason on the second hole of a playoff. Watson closed with a 64 and got into the playoff when Mason finished regulation with a double bogey.Notes: U.S. Senior Open winner Bruce Lietzke leads the money list with $1,387,304, followed by Watson ($1,204,608) and Irwin ($1,047,438). ... The 3M Championship is next week in Blaine, Minn., followed by the Long Island Classic.
