NORTH JACKSON -- Jackson Township residents can get rid of their unwanted tires from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 9 at the township Administration/Police Offices, 10613 Mahoning Avenue. Only light truck and car tires will be accepted, officials said. The charge is 50 cents per tire.
Jury indicts 2 men
CLEVELAND -- A federal grand jury indicted two Youngstown men Wednesday. Willie C. Jenkins, 47, of Myrtle Avenue was charged with possessing with intent to distribute almost 9 ounces of cocaine. Terrance L. Thomas, 25, of Riblett Road was charged with distributing about an ounce of crack cocaine June 19, 2000, and illegally possessing a handgun July 3, 2003.
