BOARDMAN
July 21
Drugs: After a traffic stop on Shields Road, police charged a 23-year-old Boardman man with possession of drugs and permitting drug abuse.
Domestic violence: Police charged a 24-year-old Youngstown man with domestic violence after an Applecrest Court woman reported being a victim.
Theft: An employee at Frederick Dodge, 7554 Market St., reported a spoiler device stolen off a vehicle's trunk lid.
Thefts: An employee at T.R. Equipment Rentals, 4627 Market St., alleged that a 28-year-old man rented a 13-inch floor polisher and never returned the item. Also, the victim reported that a 40-year-old man failed to return two shoring posts he rented.
Identity theft: A North Lima man reported that someone fraudulently used his identity to get a total of $4,312.75 from his account at Seven Seventeen Credit Union, 7371 California Ave.
Theft: Police arrested a 25-year-old Struthers woman on a theft charge after 12 packages of film were stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft, criminal damage: A vehicle had three dents and scratches, as well as dashboard damage, in the 400 block of Boardman-Poland Road. A 50-watt compact-disc player and 20 audio CDs were taken.
Theft: A woman reported her son's bicycle stolen in the back yard at their residence in the 30 block of Crestline Place.
Theft, criminal damage: A man reported his car damaged and a stereo-CD player, a DVD player, four DVDs, 20 CDs and a flashlight stolen in the 100 block of Homestead Drive.
Criminal damage: Someone spray-painted a driveway at a residence in the 7700 block of Hunters Court.
Theft: Police arrested a 16-year-old Campbell boy on a theft charge after a men's T-shirt was stolen from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: Police charged a 30-year-old Youngstown woman with theft after a digital camera kit was taken from Wal-Mart.
Theft: A woman reported her wallet, containing $60 and various credit cards, stolen while she was in the 7300 block of Market Street.
Theft, criminal damage: A man discovered his vehicle's passenger-side door and lock damaged, and a speaker box, two 12-inch speakers and two 600-watt amplifiers stolen, in the 4500 block of Southern Boulevard. Also, police discovered that another vehicle had its dashboard and door lock damaged. An AM/FM CD in-dash stereo was removed.
July 22
Theft: A man stole three 18-packs of beer from a Speedway gas station, 649 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Theft: An employee at Cellular One in the Southern Park Mall reported $1,060 stolen from a kiosk.
Arrest: Police arrested a 34-year-old Boardman man at St. Elizabeth Health Center on a rape charge.
Theft: Police charged a 15-year-old Youngstown boy with theft after an employee at Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road, alleged he removed a pair of tennis shoes from a store display, put them on and attempted to leave without paying for the merchandise.
Theft: A man reported a Supertuner 3 device, a 35-watt amplifier and two CD folders stolen from a vehicle in the 4500 block of Southern Boulevard.
Criminal damage: A man discovered his vehicle's passenger-side door, T-top, center console, steering wheel and AM/FM CD player damaged while the car was parked at the Southern Park Mall.
Criminal damage: Two door locks were damaged on a vehicle while it was parked in the 70 block of Maple Drive.
Theft: Police arrested a 51-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge after eight miscellaneous clothing items were stolen from J.C. Penney.
July 23
Arrest: Police arrested a 27-year-old Campbell man at his residence on charges of identity fraud, theft and drug abuse after a Poland man reported being the victim of identity theft.
Bad checks: Police charged a 24-year-old Youngstown man with nine counts of passing bad checks after an employee at Cochran Sparkle Market, 4121 South Ave., discovered that merchandise was paid for by checks drawn on a closed account on five occasions.
Theft: Someone removed $154.13 from an unattended cash register at J.C. Penney.
Vandalism: An employee at Spartan Chevrolet, 7870 Market St., reported that two vehicles had one of their fog lights broken off.
Criminal damage: A woman reported that someone vandalized a carport's cinder-block wall in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road, resulting in the flooding of several nearby ground-floor apartments in two buildings.
Theft: Someone took 10 movie videos, a gold chain, two gold crosses and a necklace from an apartment in the 70 block of Lemans Drive.
Theft: A 25-year-old Phoenix man was charged with theft after a magazine was stolen from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Theft: A Mineral Ridge woman reported that a man in his 30s stole $568.50 from a residence in the 5500 block of Loretta Drive.
Attempted assault: A North Lima man reported that a man in his 50s or 60s tried to assault the victim while he was at Rockne's Pub, 1497 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: Police arrested two Boardman girls, both 14, on charges of receiving stolen property and theft after four junior tops and other clothing were stolen from Kaufmann's and Sears in the Southern Park Mall. They also were charged with underage possession of cigarettes.
Theft: Police arrested a 34-year-old Youngstown woman on a theft charge after two pairs of shoes were stolen from Kohl's, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.
July 24
Arrest: Police arrested a 35-year-old Youngstown man on a domestic-violence charge.
Forgery: Police arrested a 36-year-old Youngstown man on a forgery charge after a Youngstown woman discovered that someone paid for $360 worth of services with a personal check in her name.
Arrest: Police arrested a 42-year-old Youngstown man at the Mahoning County jail and charged him with receiving stolen property after an employee at Giant Eagle, 476 Boardman-Canfield Road, reported that someone passed a $100 bad check and tried to cash a $112 bad check.
Burglary: A woman reported a 27-inch TV, a handset phone, an electric air cleaner and a CD-tape stereo unit stolen from her residence in the 6200 block of Appleridge Drive.
Vandalism: A man reported that someone damaged two windows at his rental property in the 300 block of Meadowbrook Avenue, possibly with a BB gun, causing $540 in damage.
Burglary: Someone removed a staple gun and a utility knife from a garage in the 800 block of Oakridge Drive.
Criminal mischief: A man reported that someone spray-painted an obscenity on the rear wall to his garage in the 100 block of Meadowbrook Avenue. Also, a woman in the 5700 block of Southern Boulevard reported a profanity spray-painted on her garage's rear wall.
Theft: A man in the 800 block of Oakridge Drive reported three landscape lights and a recycling bin stolen from his residence.
Theft by deception: Police arrested a 29-year-old Youngstown woman on a charge of theft by deception after an employee at a Shell True North gas station, 7598 Market St., reported that someone passed two fake $10 bills.
Arrest: Police arrested a 16-year-old Chester, W.Va., girl at the Southern Park Mall and charged her with theft, receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs. Clothing was stolen from Dillard's, Charlotte Russe and Abercrombie & amp; Fitch.
Theft: A woman reported her wallet stolen from her purse while she was at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Arrest: After investigating a domestic situation at a residence in the 1800 block of Oles Avenue, police arrested a 41-year-old Boardman man on a charge of contempt of court.
Arrests: After responding to a report of a stolen street sign on Hitchcock Road, police arrested a Youngstown man and a Boardman man, both 18, on charges of receiving stolen property and possession of criminal tools. One man also was charged with a curfew violation and underage possession of tobacco.
July 25
Theft: An employee at KFC, 6636 South Ave., discovered $1,179 missing from a deposit.
Auto theft: A 1983 Buick Regal was stolen from a driveway in the 1900 block of Brandon Avenue.
Auto theft: A 1994 Mercury Sable was stolen from a parking lot at Boardman Nissan, 7809 Market St.
Criminal damage: A woman reported her vehicle's passenger-side front window smashed in the 5100 block of Hopkins Road.
Theft: Two 12-inch speakers, a power amplifier and a CD player faceplate were stolen from a vehicle in the 5200 block of Jeanne Lynn Avenue.
Theft: Police charged a 16-year-old Struthers girl with theft after a Sony Walkman was stolen from Wal-Mart.
July 26
Theft: An employee at Petsmart, 1101 Doral Drive, discovered that a parrot was missing from its cage.
Arrest: After investigating a report of illegal dumping behind Wal-Mart, police arrested a 29-year-old Akron man wanted on a charge of probation violation.
Theft: A woman reported a bicycle missing from her front yard in the 400 block of Mathews Road.
Theft: Someone damaged a vending machine and removed $75 from it at the Holiday Inn, 7410 South Ave.
Auto theft: A 1987 Cadillac Eldorado was stolen in the 60 block of Prestwick Drive.
Arrest: Police charged a 17-year-old Boardman boy with attempting to buy beer after an employee at Four Jacks Filling Station, 1215 Boardman-Poland Road, said someone suspected of being underage tried to buy seven 18-packs of beer.
Criminal damage: Someone damaged a lock and steel chain at Gabriel Bros.
Auto theft: A 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada was stolen from the Southern Park Mall parking lot.
Criminal damage: A woman reported a large dent on her vehicle's driver's-side door in the 300 block of Maple Avenue.
Theft: A woman reported the front license plate removed from her vehicle.
Theft: Police arrested a 53-year-old Cleveland man on a theft charge after about $416 worth of diapers and baby formula were stolen from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Assault: A Struthers man reported being assaulted while he was in the Kmart parking lot, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.
July 27
Domestic violence: Police charged a 32-year-old Boardman man with domestic violence after a West Boulevard woman reported being a victim.
Theft: A woman reported her wallet, containing $200, stolen near a photo booth outside Jillian's Entertainment in the Southern Park Mall.
Criminal damage: A man discovered his vehicle had paint damage while it was parked at the Fairfield Inn, 7397 Tiffany Blvd. Also, a man reported his car had its paint, trunk and roof damaged.
Theft: A woman reported her son's bicycle stolen from a carport in the 300 block of Mathews Road.
Recovered property: A 1973 Harley-Davidson motorcycle stolen from a parking lot in the 7300 block of Southern Boulevard was recovered in front of the Seven Seventeen Credit Union, 7371 California Ave.
Theft: A woman reported a CD case containing about 55 audio CDs and a CD Walkman removed from her car parked at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
Theft: A 24-year-old Youngstown man was charged with theft after a pair of tennis shoes was stolen from Kohl's.
Criminal mischief: A man in the 1700 block of Leland Avenue reported that someone threw a glass bottle at his vehicle parked in his driveway.
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 10 block of Montrose Circle discovered a glass table top in her patio furniture broken.
Theft: A woman reported her grandson's bicycle stolen from his residence in the 300 block of Mathews Road.
Theft: A bicycle was taken from the Cinemark Movies 8 parking lot, 469 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrest: A 16-year-old Youngstown boy was charged with receiving stolen property after police located a stolen 1987 Oldsmobile Delta 88 in the 100 block of Boardman-Poland Road.

July 20
Attempted breaking and entering: A woman in the 20 block of Delaware Avenue discovered a shoe mark on her back door and a slide lock removed.
July 21
Arrest: A 38-year-old Youngstown woman was charged with criminal trespass after police said the woman told them she was trying to contact her former boyfriend at his Hamilton Avenue residence.
July 26
Recovered property: Police recovered two bicycles found near a walking trail off state Route 616.
