SHARON Man accused of raping boys has bond set at $100,000
SHARON, Pa. -- Dean L. Custer, 45, of Logan Avenue was in Mercer County Jail today with bond set at $100,000 after his arrest on rape and related charges.
Custer is accused of having illegal sexual contact with two young boys over a period of six years, police said.
His arrest on a warrant at 11:20 a.m. Monday ended a long investigation by the police and Mercer County Children & amp; Youth Services. Custer was arrested Monday when he went to the Children & amp; Youth office in Mercer for an interview.
He is accused of engaging in sexual acts with the two boys while living with their mother, police said.
The attacks, which are alleged to have occurred numerous times at several locations, began in the summer 1994 when the boys were 9 and 4, respectively, and ended in summer 2000, police said.
Custer was charged with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and indecent exposure.
He was arraigned before District Justice James McMahon, who ordered him held on bond pending a preliminary hearing.
