Pastor installation
YOUNGSTOWN -- Bishop Marcus Miller will install the Rev. Paul Camp as pastor of Martin Luther Lutheran Church at 3 p.m. April 27. A buffet will follow the service.
The Rev. Mr. Camp previously served for seven years in Carrollton, Ohio. Ordained in 1966 as a Roman Catholic priest, Mr. Camp has served ministries in Toledo and Cleveland and also served from 1973-76 as the director of ministry formation for the School of Theology at St. Meinrad, Ind. In 1993, Mr. Camp married his wife, Judith, while attending Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus. Pastor Camp was born in Toledo, the third son of eight children.
Lutheran pastor retires
BOARDMAN -- The Rev. Paul Burgeson, pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church, will retire April 30 after 37 years in the ministry. The Youngstown native graduated from South High School in 1955, received a bachelor of science degree in accounting in 1959 from Miami University, and from 1960-68 was on active duty with the U.S. Navy aboard the carrier USS Forrestal.
He was ordained a Lutheran pastor May 23, 1966. His first parish was the Sugarcreek Lutheran Church. He went to Bethel Lutheran Church in 1991 and helped to coordinate the merger of the congregations of Bethel and Honterus Lutheran Churches in 2000. A retirement dinner and program will be held at the church after the service at 10:30 a.m. April 27.
Jim Tubbs family concert
YOUNGSTOWN -- Mahoning United Methodist Church presents the Jim Tubbs family in concert at 10:45 a.m. April 27. Since 1984, Jim and Shirley Tubbs and their three daughters have shared the Gospel through their music in 46 states and 17 denominations. An offering will be taken.
Resurrection message
BOARDMAN -- The Rev. Mitch Triestman will speak during Easter services at 10:15 a.m. Sunday at Glenwood Methodist Church. A breakfast is at 9 a.m. The Rev. Mr. Triestman, an author and professor with the Institute of Jewish studies at Philadelphia Biblical University, will give a Resurrection message. He serves with the Friends of Israel Gospel ministry.
Women's program
PITTSBURGH -- Women of the Word Conference of Pennsylvania will present "Reflections of the Father's Heart" Friday and next Saturday at the Pittsburgh Hilton Hotel. For reservations, call (828) 669-8411.

HOWLAND -- Howland Community Church will present "Come and See" from 1-3 p.m. today to let children experience Easter.
Good Hope praise concert
BOARDMAN -- A Christian praise concert will be presented by the Leap of Faith Praise Team on May 4 at Good Hope Lutheran Church. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7 p.m.
Special service set
YOUNGSTOWN -- Bishop John Smith and Dr. Linda Smith of Columbus will be at The Love Deliverance Center of the Apostolic Faith at 4 p.m. next Saturday. They will be bringing the congregation of the Christ Centered Apostolic Church for a special service.
Trial sermon set on Easter
WARREN -- Neil B. Hagan, a deacon of House of Prayer, United Holy Church of America, will present his trial sermon titled "Once Saved Always Saved?" with a theme of "Christ Is Risen" Easter Sunday after the 11 a.m. service.
Baptist events set
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Youngstown Extension Unit of the American Baptist College will have a Founders' Day Banquet at 6:30 p.m. April 29 in Tabernacle Baptist Church. The Rev. T.F. James, the Rev. Ralph Burton, the Rev. Lonnie Simon and others will receive special honors.
Commencement exercises will be at 7 p.m. May 1 in the Eastern Ohio Baptist Association Building. Twelve students will receive certificates in Christian training and diplomas in theology. Call (330) 788-4608.
