MAHONING COUNTY Green Team will accept appliances for recycling
You can bring your old fridge, but not your old computer.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Recycling Division of Mahoning County (The Green Team) will accept selected household appliances and metal items for recycling from April 26 through May 10.
Items that will be accepted are refrigerators, stoves, clothes washers, air conditioners, dishwashers, freezers, dehumidifiers, copper wiring, plumbing, hot water tanks, metal lawn furniture, metal toys, metal auto parts, metal sinks, metal cabinets, aluminum siding, metal swing sets and small metal appliances. There is no charge for removal of freon from refrigerators and air conditioners.
These items will not be accepted: pressure tanks (except home hot water tanks) and household electronics (computers and related equipment, televisions, VCRs, stereos, radios etc.).
Mahoning County residents may transport and unload their items to any of these sites only during the hours listed:
UBerlin Township Town Hall, Route 224, Berlin Center, daylight hours.
UBoardman Township salt dome, 8299 Market St., 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
UCoitsville Township Road Department, 3737 McCartney Road, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
UGoshen Township Recycling Center, 12649 Seacrist Road, daylight hours, Monday through Saturday.
UGreen Township Town Hall, 12184 Lisbon St., 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
USebring Road Department, 800 N. 18th St., 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
