WARREN -- An aggravated murder warrant has been issued for a 19-year-old man police think killed a man on North Street N.W.
The warrant was issued Tuesday for Michael Doll, also known as Christopher Doll, but police have not been able to find him.
Hampering Doll's apprehension is the fact that police are not sure where he lives. They think he may be staying in the Youngstown-Warren area.
Doll is about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes, and police think he has a gunshot wound on his left arm.
"He was wounded during the commission of this homicide," said Detective Charles Sines, who also noted that Doll has several tattoos.
Sines said police are also looking for Jody Hayes, 21, who is about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 195 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
"We believe Mr. Hayes and Mr. Doll were together the day of the murder," Sines said. "Mr. Hayes is being sought for questioning."
Outstanding warrants
According to police records, Hayes also has two felony warrants. The warrants are for an unrelated case. Both warrants were issued in November. The one warrant is for felonious assault and the other is for robbery.
"We have not been able to find Mr. Hayes for several months and we also do not have an address for him. He is from the Warren area," Sines said.
Anyone who has any information on the whereabouts of Doll or Hayes is asked to contact the police department.
Police said they think Doll is responsible for causing the shooting death of Michael E. May, 21. May was shot to death at a residence on North Street N.W. shortly before 11 a.m. March 21.
"We believe this started out to be a narcotics-type robbery that turned into a gunbattle," Sines said.
