Judge Francis Fornelli of Mercer County Common Pleas Court recently sentenced seven people.
Perry Fennell Jr., 21, whose address was given as the Lawrence County Jail, New Castle, was sentenced to one to three years for a misdemeanor charge of having firearms without a license, one to two years for felony delivery of OxyContin, and six months to one year for recklessly endangering, a misdemeanor. Fennell was given credit for 314 days already served. On May 18, 2002, according to court documents, Fennell helped arrange delivery of several OxyContin pills. On the same day, he fired two shots at a vehicle in Delaware Township, striking a 17-year-old boy in the hand. He was caught with a loaded .25-caliber handgun. Greg Adams, 44, of Sharon-Bedford Road, West Middlesex, was sentenced to a total of 16 to 33 months for two counts of terroristic threats, two counts of simple assault and theft by unlawful taking, all misdemeanors. According to court documents, on Sept. 3, 2002, he held a knife to a woman's throat and assaulted her. On Sept. 22, he held a knife to the throat of the same woman until she gave him the keys to her automobile, which he then took. He was given credit for 185 days already served.Tonya Bulboff, 25, of Shenango Street, Greenville, was placed on a total of eight years' probation for felony conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, misdemeanor theft and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, also a misdemeanor. She was also ordered to perform 300 hours of community service and make restitution. According to court documents, on August 5, 2002, she stole a purse containing items valued at $1,999 from a store in Hermitage. On June 4, she stole a car in Greenville. On August 24, she conspired with another woman to sell heroin in West Salem Township.Christina McGuire, 33, of Mercer Road, Mercer, was placed on four years' probation and ordered to make restitution for a misdemeanor count of bad checks. According to court documents, last December, she passed $1,749 in bad checks at a bank in Hempfield Township.Mary Rice, 46, of Prindle Street, Sharon, was placed on one year of parole for resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. On July 18, 2001, according to court documents, she grabbed and shoved a Sharon police officer as police tried to arrest a man on Prindle Street. She sprayed officers with a garden hose and tried to incite others in the area by shouting that police were intentionally hurting the man. Jefrey Sacik, 33, address given as Mercer County Jail, was sentenced to six months to two years in jail followed by three years' probation for receiving stolen property, a misdemeanor. According to court documents, on May 7, 2001, he was found with a nail gun, chain saw and another tool valued at a total $1,127. The items had been stolen from the Rental Corral, 167 E. Budd Street, Sharon.Fred Tompkins, 37, of East State Street, Sharon, was placed on 27 months' probation for disorderly conduct, defiant trespass, both misdemeanors, and public drunkenness, a summary offense. On May 3, 2002, Tompkins got drunk and fell asleep on a set of railroad tracks on Pa. Route 62, Sharon, causing a train to come to an emergency stop, creating a serious risk of derailment, according to court documents. When police tried to arrest him, he resisted.
