HUBBARD -- One girl is dead and two others were in St. Elizabeth Health Center Friday night after being struck by a car along West Liberty Street (state Route 304) and Roseview Drive at the Hubbard city limits Friday evening.
All the girls are about the same age, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol post at Southington.
All three were taken to the Youngstown hospital.
A hospital supervisor said she thought the deceased was 14 years old, but didn't have her name.
Girls identified
The supervisor identified the other victims as Kristina Angelo, 15, of Hubbard, and Yvonne Nelson. Both were in guarded condition Friday night.
All three victims were believed to be from Hubbard, the supervisor said.
The dispatcher said troopers found the car involved in the accident, but she couldn't reveal where.
She said troopers were interviewing a male suspect.
The three who were hit were among a group of eight girls walking along the road when the accident occurred at 7:26 p.m., the patrol said.
