BOARDMAN -- The wedding of Melissa Kodash and Dale Hawkins took place at 3 p.m. Aug. 23 at St. Charles Church.
The daughter of Jack and Kathy Kodash, 87 Red Grouse Court, and the son of Dale and Alice Hawkins, 7211 Glendale Ave., exchanged vows in the presence of the Rev. Daniel Venglarik.
A reception took place at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor in Mill Creek Park in Youngstown, and the couple departed for a honeymoon trip on a Caribbean cruise.
They are living in Las Vegas.
The bride's sleeveless ballgown of white silk was designed with a sweetheart neckline and chapel train.
Her sister, Melanie Kodash, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Melanie Schneikart and the groom's sisters, Diana and Andrea Hawkins. They wore ocean-blue gowns. Junior bridesmaid was Courtney Lockshaw.
Joe Gaal performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Larry Myers, Nick Borchers and Joe Catera.
The bride, who is retaining her maiden name, is a summa cum laude graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in education. She is a fourth-grade teacher for the Clark County School District in Las Vegas.
Mr. Hawkins holds a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from Ohio Northern University in Ada and is a pharmacist at Walgreen's in Las Vegas.
