Band alumni to perform
LEETONIA -- Leetonia High School band alumni will perform with the junior high band during the Oct. 4 football game at Leetonia High School stadium. The bands will rehearse from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the band room at the new high school. Alumni wishing to participate may pick up music and purchase advance tickets for the game at the high school. For more information, call band director Randy Rodik at the high school, (330) 427-2115.
South Avenue project
YOUNGSTOWN -- Construction crews will begin a widening project on South Avenue at 6 a.m. Monday. Crews will work on a 24-hour schedule. Businesses will remain open, but travelers should expect long delays.
The schedule will continue until midnight Friday. If possible, drivers should take alternative routes. For information, call the Mahoning County Engineers office at (330) 799-1581.
