Boardman rolls past Mooney for 5th straight conference win

YOUNGSTOWN -- Boardman High defeated Cardinal Mooney 15-0, 15-1 in a Steel Valley Conference volleyball match Thursday.
Liz Beard had three kills, Jen Hlebovy contributed 11 points while Taulyn Bonoto had seven assists and 13 points for the Spartans (12-2, 5-0 SVC).
Kara Jackson had 11 digs and Sarah Clarke had six assists for the Cardinals (3-10, 2-6).
Fitch 15-15, Ursuline 1-2
YOUNGSTOWN -- Katie McDermott had eight points, three kills, two blocks and two aces as the Falcons (8-3, 4-1) remained in the SVC title hunt.
Rachel Terzak had five points, five kills and an ace, Maggie Case had four [points with six kills while Jenn Drabison had four points, three kills and an ace.
For the Irish (6-8, 2-3), Lauren Reinhardt had five blocks and two kills while Emily Herman was in with five digs.

COLUMBIANA -- Katie Kibby had nine kills and eight blocks while Abbey Frastik had three kills, three aces and 17 points for the Rebels (13-1, 10-0 Tri-County League).
Katie Bloor had 17 assists and 25 attempts for the Rebels.

NORTH LIMA -- Andraea Hazel led the Raiders (6-7, 4-5 Inter-County League) with eight points and six digs.
Natalie Biastro had four points, six digs and six kills while Kelly Skrinyer added seven points and 12 assists.
For the Rockets (3-10, 0-9), Molly Macejko had four points and two aces while Tami Nero had two points and six assists.

BERLIN CENTER -- Katie Harmon scored 10 points, with 61 assists and five digs for the Blue Devils (11-6, 7-2 ICL). Theresa Polack had 10 points, four aces, four digs and 13 kills. Quinn McCammon had 10 points, once ace, 12 digs and six kills.
Lindsey Mizicko led the Mustangs (4-9, 1-7) with six points, once ace and two blocks. Jaci Babrey had four points, two aces, five digs, seven kills, two blocks.

SALEM -- Lauren Teal paced the Quakers (12-4, 7-0 Metro Athletic Conference) with five kills and two blocks. Kelli Crouse had four aces and three kills. Sarah Hamilton had one ace, three kills, one tip and one block.
Jenlyn Walsh had eight kills for the Wildcats (7-10, 0-7).

NILES -- Jaime Kelly led the Tigers (7-7, 3-4 MAC) with 10 kills and four blocks. Brittany Kelly had 11 points, with six aces and nine assists.
Shannon Floyd paced the Red Dragons (2-12, 1-6) with seven points and five assists. Erin Swift added seven points and Kelli Ciminero had four digs and three blocks.

CANFIELD -- Jill Vertanen led the Cardinals (9-8, 5-2 MAC) with 18 kills, 13 blocks and eight points. Stephanie Jarvis had 12 kills and six blocks.
Steffi Graf sparked the Bulldogs (10-4, 5-2) with 15 kills, 19 kills and five points. Dee Muranski had 10 points, three aces and 14 digs.

GIRARD -- Erin Stevens collected 10 points, three aces and 14 assists while Nicole Melfi tacked on five digs for the Indians (13-2, 8-2 Trumbull Athletic Conference).
Tealle Hunkus also had 10 kills and a block for the Indians.
Jenna Bush led the Braves (0-14, 0-12) with two points.

NEWTON FALLS -- Katy Jo Mroski scored seven points, with 11 kills, two aces and four digs for the Eagles (17-0, 11-0 TAC). Monika Rajkovicova had three blocks and Traci Hassell had 11 assists.
Ashley Shaver led the Tigers (3-9, 2-8) with three points, five digs and two aces. Megan McElravy had eight blocks. Molly Lenarcic had three kills.
