VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP TAC winning skein for Hubbard at 144



Sophomore Brittany Hines had 17 points and 29 assists to lead Rayen against Campbell.
HUBBARD -- The Hubbard High volleyball team remained undefeated and extended its Trumbull Athletic Conference winning streak to 144 matches, as the Eagles defeated Liberty 15-1 and 15-2 Wednesday.
For Hubbard (16-0, 10-0 TAC), Katy Jo Mroski had 11 kills, Nicole Pringle nine assists and Traci Hassell six assists and four digs. Felicia Resatar, a junior, had five points and Tiffany Ditman had five points. Hubbard is ranked No. 2 in Division II in this week's state coaches poll.
Girard 15-15, Newton Falls 2-5
GIRARD -- Lee McLane had 10 points, two aces and five digs, while Stephanie Scarnecchia added six digs and five kills, and Tealle Hunkus had 17 kills and six blocks to lead Girard (12-2, 7-2 TAC).
Girard is ranked sixth in Division III.
For Newton Falls (3-8, 2-9), Ashley Shaver had four points and one ace, Megan McElravy and Molly Lenarcic two kills each, and Sarah Prokop seven digs.
Champion 15-15, Badger 2-1
KINSMAN -- Michelle Canatsey had 11 points, seven aces and seven digs, and Velda Morrison 15 points and eight aces to lead Champion (7-4, 6-4 TAC). Lindsey Templeton had three points and two aces, Kelly Meyer two kills and nine assists, and Jennifer Seifert four kills to aid the Golden Flashes.
For Badger (0-13, 0-11), Katie Brainard had five kills and one assist and Jenna Bush three points.
Lakeview 15-15, LaBrae 1-6
CORTLAND -- Tina Pinter sparked Lakeview (12-4, 8-2 TAC) with 11 points and four aces. Heidi Kracker had seven kills, while Megan Taylor had 10 assists and six kills.
Amber Dietelbach had 11 assists and three digs for the Vikings (6-10, 4-6 TAC). Amanda Gordon had five kills, two blocks and an ace.
Rayen 15-18, Campbell 13-16
YOUNGSTOWN -- Sophomore Brittany Hines had 17 points and 29 assists to lead Rayen School.
Junior Taryn Perkins had nine spikes and two kills for Rayen (7-6), while junior Adrienne Miller had five assists and senior Erica Wilson five kills.
For Campbell Memorial (3-9), sophomore Dana Sacui had eight points, junior Megan Cunning four kills and two blocks and senior Raelene Pavis eight assists.
On Tuesday, Rayen defeated Wilson 15-7, 6-15, 15-10.
Western Reserve 15-15,Sebring 10-7
BERLIN CENTER -- Jen White sparked the Blue Devils (10-6) with eight points, three kills and three blocks. Katie Harman had 10 points, 31 assists, three digs and one kill. Tiffany Palumbo had five points, two aces and two kills.
April Corbett led the Trojans (5-9) with six points. Erika Eaton had 42 assists and three kills.
Maplewood 4-16-15, Lordstown 15-14-5
LORDSTOWN -- Megan Rohn paced the Rockets (8-8) with 13 points. Brittany Bolinger had 14 assists.
Janelle Beaver led the Red Devils (8-5) with nine points and two aces. Christa Israel added nine points. Alycia Israel had 11 assists. Mandy Kistler had seven kills.
