Summary of police activity:
GIRARD
Sept. 19
Criminal damaging/threats: Police arrested a Niles man on a criminal trespass charge after another man said he broke a window at a residence in the 10 block of South Randolph Avenue. The suspect also was charged with resisting arrest and violating a restraining order after his wife said he threatened her and their children's lives.
Sept. 23
Theft: An employee at S & amp;M Auto Body, 17 Olive St., alleged a co-worker stole $200 to $300 worth of compact discs from a vehicle while it was in the garage.
Theft: A woman who owns a vacant home in the 300 block of Washington Avenue reported a neighbor stole electricity by illegally running an extension cord from the side of his residence to an outlet on her rear porch.
Sept. 24
Theft/criminal damaging: A man in the 400 block of Illinois Avenue reported a man who stayed with him broke into the victim's gun cabinet and stole a .22 Derringer, a .380 Smith & amp; Wesson, a butterfly knife and a gold wristwatch. The victim's phone was damaged.
LIBERTY
Sept. 17
Criminal damaging: Someone used an unknown object to puncture a vehicle's and a motorcycle's tire in the 3100 block of Hadley Avenue.
Theft: A 19-inch television, a microwave-refrigerator unit and $200 worth of bedding and towels were stolen from a room at the Knights Inn, 1600 Motor Inn Drive.
Warrant: A 30-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested at the Mahoning County jail on an outstanding traffic warrant.
Theft: Two Ohio driver's license plates were removed from a vehicle parked at Roth Auto Sales, 2830 Youngstown-Hubbard Road.
Sept. 18
Warrants: Police arrested a 23-year-old Youngstown woman at the Super 8 Motel, 5280 Seventy-Six Drive, Austintown, on three counts of passing bad checks.
Robbery: A woman reported two men grabbed her, knocked her to the ground and stole her purse after she got out of her vehicle in the Comfort Inn parking lot, 4055 Belmont Ave.
Burglary: A man in the 10 block of James Lane discovered $420 in cash and a $30 check missing from a drawer in his home.
Sept. 19
Assault: A woman in the 1700 block of Naylor-Lloyd Road reported her boyfriend threatened her life and assaulted her. The woman had various marks on her neck.
Sept. 20
Criminal damaging: Someone cut a door screen at a residence in the 4700 block of East Drive.
Theft: An employee at Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave., reported a woman removed a prescription from a store counter.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 1400 block of Sonny Drive reported finding two screws placed in a tire that was removed
from her vehicle.
Sept. 21
Warrants: After stopping a car on state Route 193, police arrested a 20-year-old Youngstown man on charges of failure to comply with a police officer and resisting arrest.
Theft: An undetermined amount of money was taken from a metal cabinet at the Dollar Factory discount store, 3551 Belmont Ave.
Sept. 22
Criminal damaging: A vehicle's rear window was smashed in the 3100 block of Hadley Avenue.
Auto theft: A 1985 Oldsmobile 98 Regency was stolen from a carport in the 1300 block of West Montrose Street.
Assault: A woman reported her daughter and daughter's friend were assaulted at Liberty High School. One girl said an acquaintance pushed her to the ground and the other girl said a boy punched her and slapped her in the face.
Sept. 23
Burglary: After ransacking a residence in the 500 block of Warner Road, someone stole three antique French chairs, five antique rifles and other artwork from the home.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke a rear door and a garage door to a vacant home in the 4800 block of Sampson Drive and took a battery jumper box.
Theft: A leaf blower was stolen from a residence in the 5700 block of Sampson Drive.
HUBBARD
Sept. 17
Criminal damaging: A man driving on North Main Street reported someone in a semi truck threw a rock and damaged his vehicle's windshield.
Sept. 18
Breaking and entering: Nothing was taken from a residence in the 1100 block of Fairchild Drive after someone kicked in the back door.
Sept. 19
Possible attempted assault: A man in the 900 block of Woodland Avenue reported a woman driving a blue van may have tried to intentionally strike him with the vehicle while he was walking to work.
Sept. 20
Criminal damaging: Someone used a vehicle to run over a mailbox and damage a portion of two lawns in the 300 block of Jacobs Road.
Sept. 21
Theft: Various items were taken from a car while it was parked at Barkley's Tavern, 548 W. Liberty St.
Theft: About $181 in currency was removed from an office at the Dollar Factory discount store, 840 W. Liberty St.
Sept. 22
Assault/warrants: A Hubbard man who was taken to Forum Health Northside Medical Center after being assaulted was wanted on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of failure to appear in court.
Sept. 23
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged while parked at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, 710 W. Liberty St.
Theft: A man reported someone stole his bicycle while he was at the Hubbard Public Library, 436 W. Liberty St.
Sept. 24
Theft: A DVD player was stolen from the Hubbard High School library.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into a car while it was parked at Baldine Plaza, 600 W. Liberty St.
