New office for Justice Fagley

MERCER, Pa. -- A new office is being readied for District Justice William Fagley of Greenville and might be ready by Jan. 1.
At their meeting Thursday, Mercer County commissioners agreed to buy 3,000 square feet of condominium space in C & amp;B Condominiums, a building owned by Michael and Beth Yurisic at 14 North Race St., Greenville.
The building has long been vacant and formerly housed an auto dealership. It is being renovated to the county's specifications. Final details of the sale to the county are being worked out, but the purchase price is $297,000.
Fagley's current courtroom and offices at 45 Clinton Road, Greenville, are too small, have security problems and lack parking space, commissioners said. The new facility will have double the space and include holding rooms for prisoners. There will also be 15 reserved parking spaces.
The building contains 3,000 additional square feet on the ground floor that will be occupied by other commercial tenants.
0However, the county will retain the right to veto prospective tenants.
The Clinton Road building will be advertised for sale.
Commissioner Gene Brenneman said it was appraised at $80,000, making that the minimum it could be sold for.
The new condominium will be paid for with part of the loan taken out to pay for the ongoing courthouse renovation.
