Kara Saleman, Richard Burnett are engaged

CANFIELD -- Robert and Merceda Saleman of 3147 Paradise Lane are announcing the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kara Lynn Saleman of the same address, to Richard John Burnett, son of Margery Burnett, 165 S. Cadillac Drive, Boardman, and Richard Burnett of Girard.
An open ceremony has been planned for 2:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown, and a reception by invitation will take place that evening at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex Centre in Liberty.
Miss Saleman holds a bachelor's degree in physiology from Mount Union College in Alliance. She teaches physical education and health at the Girard City Schools.
Her fiance graduated from Bethany College, Bethany, W.Va., with a bachelor's degree in visual arts. He is an art teacher with Salem City Schools.
