2 Colombian men face deportation
MERCER, Pa. -- Pennsylvania State Police said two Colombian men face deportation for traffic violations and other crimes after their vehicle was stopped on Interstate 80 in Findley Township.
Police said they stopped the van in the westbound lanes around 5 p.m. Tuesday because it was tailgating another vehicle.
Humberto Londono, the driver, turned out to be wanted by the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Police didn't reveal why he was being sought. The Colombian national was living in White Plains, N.Y., police said.
State police charged him with a traffic violation and he was held for the INS.
The passenger initially identified himself as Ramiro Osorio of White Plains, but he gave police a phony Florida driver's license and also was taken into custody.
Police took his fingerprints and a record check showed he is really Ramiro L. Jamarillo of Colombia. He was charged with unsworn falsification to authorities and presenting a false identification to authorities. He also will be turned over to the INS for deportation, state police said.
