BOARDMAN -- Simon Road Church of God was the setting Aug. 18 for the wedding of Brenda J. Tipple and Jeffrey T. Brink. The groom's brother, the Rev. Dr. Robert Brink, solemnized the 3 p.m. ceremony, and a reception was held at The Elm Tree in Struthers.
The bride is a daughter of Judy Tipple, 25 Woodrow Ave., and Earl Tipple, 3531 Hayes Road, Dorset. Mr. Brink is a son of Robert and Lucille Brink, 4602 Calla Road, New Middletown.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and are living at 4912 E. Middletown Road, New Middletown.
The bride's mother fashioned her daughter's two-piece gown of white crepe-backed satin with a halter neckline and A-line skirt.
Maid of honor was the bride's sister, Nancy Tipple of Boardman, and matron of honor was Jamie Ledford of Lincolnton, N.C. They wore lilac gowns, also fashioned by the bride's mother.
David Brink of Newark was best man for his brother, and the groom's cousin, John Williams of Germantown, Md., was groomsman. Ushers were Steve Devereux of Reynoldsburg and Dave Devereux of Youngstown, the groom's nephews, and Jonathan Vivo of New Middletown.
Mrs. Brink graduated from Youngstown State University with an associate degree in applied business and is a court reporter with Nagy-Baker Court Reporting Inc. in Youngstown. Her husband holds a bachelor's in education and a master's in educational administration from YSU and is assistant principal and head coach of boys varsity basketball at Springfield Local High School.
