YOUNGSTOWN -- A honeymoon to Las Vegas followed the Aug. 17 wedding of Dena N. Johnson, 887 Billingsgate Ave., and Danny L. Jacobs, 532 Willis Ave., at Union Baptist Church.
The Rev. Michael H. Harrison Sr. officiated at the 2:30 p.m. service, and later a reception was held at The Embassy.
The bride, who is employed at Forum Health Northside Medical Center, is a daughter of Sharon K. Wallace of the Billingsgate Avenue address and Bobby Johnson, 433 Carroll St. She attended Youngstown State University.
The groom, who also works at Northside, is a son of Martha Jacobs of the Willis Avenue address and the late Barry Jacobs.
A cathedral train adorned with Alencon lace, sequins and crystal beads highlighted the bride's white matte satin gown.
Wearing gold dresses were Stephanie Peete, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Alvita and Angela Wallace, the bride's sisters; Angela Jones; and Jasmine McCain. Flower girls were Paris Jones and Jamese Sutton.
Best man was Kenny Jacobs, the groom's brother. Groomsmen were David Johnson, the bride's cousin; Wayne Jones, his brother-in-law; Emmett Warren Jr.; and Allen Dothard. The bride's godson, Brandon Jones, was ring bearer. Ushers were David Johnson, her cousin, and John Fields III, and junior ushers were Calin and Colby Jacobs, the groom's sons.
Other participants were Coree Jacobs, the groom's daughter, and Janis Jones, Tina May Johnson and Trina McCain.
The couple live in Youngstown.
