Surprise dinner party is held to honor the Barton 40th wedding anniversary

STRUTHERS -- Mr. and Mrs. William Barton, 254 Como St., were honored during a surprise dinner party Sept. 14 at Bobby D's restaurant in Youngstown on the occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary.
Hosts of the event were the honorees' children and their spouses, Denise and Paul Wilkens of Struthers and Margaret and John Puhalla of Boardman and Mrs. Barton's mother, Ann Polisky of Struthers.
The former Dorothy Polisky and Mr. Barton were married Sept. 15, 1962, at the Chapel of Friendly Bells in Youngstown. Mr. Barton also is known as "Swabby."
Mrs. Barton is a homemaker. She is a member of St. Nicholas Church.
Retiring in 1979, Mr. Barton worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. and LTV, Youngstown. He served in the U.S. Navy.
The family circle includes one grandchild.
