Dinner is held in observance of Davies jubilee

YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Donald Davies, 3365 Myrwood Lane, were guests of honor during a dinner Sept. 21 at Smaldino's Family Restaurant, North Lima, for the celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the honorees' children and spouses, Sharon and Gary Snyder of Chesterfield, Va., and Donald Jr. and Brenda Davies of Cedarville.
The former Wanda Teter and Mr. Davies exchanged marriage vows Sept. 20, 1952, in Morgantown, W.Va.
Mrs. Davies was a cafeteria employee and retired in 1999 from Austintown Board of Education.
Retiring in 1995, Mr. Davies was a material handler at General Motors Corp., Lordstown. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. and Mrs. Davies are members of Boardman Baptist Church.
The family circle includes six grandchildren.
