Divorce recovery
WARREN -- North-Mar Church will have a divorce recovery workshop for anyone who is divorced or separated, regardless of religious faith or affiliation. The workshop will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on six consecutive Thursdays from Oct. 3 through Nov. 7. The fee is $30, but a $5 discount is available if the paid registration is postmarked by Thursday. Praise and worship set
GIRARD -- Chestnut Ridge Church of God will present an evening of praise and worship with the gospel group The Talley Trio at 6 p.m. Oct. 6. The Talley Trio performs more than 125 dates each year and is regularly featured on the Gaither Homecoming Tour.

Grant to be awarded
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Office of Social Action of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, in cooperation with Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhoods, will have a press conference at 11 a.m. Tuesday to award the group a National Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CHD) grant.
CHD is the U.S. Catholic Bishops' anti-poverty campaign. Each year, parishes provide money for the national collection. This year, ACTION is awarded a nationally competitive grant from the CHD to continue its campaign on metropolitan equity issues, "Building Regional Equity."
ACTION's president, the Rev. Michael Harrison, will invite the community to ACTION's public meeting Oct. 27 at Stambaugh Auditorium, Youngstown, where "Building Regional Equity" will be a focus. Call (330) 744-8451.
'Messiah' rehearsals
WARREN -- Warren Community Chorus rehearsals for the 2002 Messiah and More Concert will be from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 7. Rehearsals are held each Monday evening through October and November. Annual Rosary March
NORTH JACKSON -- The National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon has scheduled its Annual Rosary March for Oct. 6. The day will start with the Maronite Rite at 10 a.m. and the Roman Rite at 11:30 a.m. There will be a dinner at 12:30 p.m. and a spiritual talk at 2 p.m. by Rev. Justin Matro. The day will end with the Chaplet of Mercy at 2:45 p.m. followed by rosary procession. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Call (330) 538-3351.
Missionary term set
CANFIELD -- Karen Brunk of Canfield has begun a one-year term of missionary service with Virginia Mennonite Board of Missions in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Brunk is serving as a nurse at the Joyland Mennonite Church Clinic. She also makes home visits for patients who cannot go to the clinic. Brunk is the owner and manager of Serenity House in Canfield. She is a member of Niles First Community Church of the Nazarene.
Music ministry
DIAMOND -- Grant & amp; Sally Ministries, a full-time Christian music duo based in Loudonville, will be featured at 7 p.m. next Saturday in Palmyra United Methodist Church. The ministry has produced three albums of original music. An offering will be received.
