AREA FOOTBALL Davis powers Warriors to fourth victory, 34-6



Campbell and Beaver Local suffered losses.
BELOIT -- The West Branch High football team scored 20 points in the second quarter in Friday's 34-6 defeat of Akron Springfield.
Josh Davis of the Warriors (4-1, 3-0 Northeastern Buckeye Conference) rushed for 190 yards on 23 carries, including TD runs of 1, 3 and 3 yards.
West Branch had 413 yards of total offense, compared to 150 for Springfield (1-4, 1-1).
Chardon 34, Beaver Local 14
LISBON -- Chardon's (2-3) controlled offense accumulated 361 rushing yards on 63 carries, and it was 2-for-2 passing for 60 yards.
Jake Robinson tallied on a 4-yard run for the Beavers (4-1), and teammate Matt Vujaklya caught a 23-yard TD pass from Steve Mercer.
George Williams led the Beavers with 59 yards on 12 carries. Beaver Local was 8-for-22 through the air for 185 yards, and Vujaklya caught three passes for 91 yards.
Southeast 33, Rootstown 8
RAVENNA -- The Pirates blasted out to a 24-8 lead at the break and coasted to the decision.
Southeast ran 48 times for 212 yards, and gained another 171 yards through the air on 7-for-11 passing.
