Landmark Organization, Austin, Texas. Landmark designs, builds and arranges financing for hotels, convention centers, jails and retail projects. The company is building the Hilton Omaha Convention Center Hotel in Nebraska.
MG Financial Services of Indiana, Carmel, Ind. MG has renovated warehouses, is building an ice rink complex and is involved with a $24 million arena in Massillon. That project was supposed to be "substantially complete" by this week. Construction stopped in February, however. The developer cited weather problems and communication issues with that city about sewer service. Most recently MG has had difficulty securing financing for the project, according to the newspaper in Massillon.
Waterford Group, Waterford, Conn. Waterford specializes in hospitality and gaming. The company has developed, operated or built hotels, convention centers and casinos. Waterford is building a convention center in Hartford.
Gould Evans Associates, Tampa, Fla. Gould provides architectural, planning and construction services for projects such as casinos, hospitals, schools and baseball stadiums.
Ellerbe Beckett, Kansas City, Mo. Ellerbe sent only a letter saying it didn't have a development group assembled but would be interested in designing and engineering any project the city decides on. The company does architecture, construction and engineering on projects such as hospitals, offices, stadiums and arenas. Projects include Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix, Ariz., and the Alerus Center, an arena in Grand Forks, N.D.
