BOARDMAN -- Stephen Michael Kendall of Salem and his bride, the former Valorie Sue Hohmann of Huntington Woods, Boardman, honeymooned at Myrtle Beach, S.C., after their marriage Aug. 10 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.
The Rev. Mark Davis presided at the 5 p.m. wedding for the daughter of Richard and Kathy Hohmann, Reese Road, Slippery Rock, Pa., and son of Herbert and Roberta Kendall of Salem. A reception was held afterward at Antone's Banquet Centre in Boardman.
Designed with an empire waist and spaghetti straps, the bride's white satin A-line gown was embellished with beading and featured a chapel train.
The honor attendants, Lisa Hohmann of Slippery Rock, Pa., the bride's sister, and Autumn Sunderlin of Yardley, Pa., wore purple and silver gowns, as did the bridesmaids, Stephanie Childers, the groom's sister; and Ashley Kendall, his niece, both of Canfield.
Serving as best man was Scott White of Youngstown, and groomsmen were Brian Wisnewski of Greenville, Pa.; James Valiquette of Parma, the groom's cousin; and Travis Hohmann of Slippery Rock, a brother of the bride.
The bride graduated from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa., with a degree in sociology.
The groom earned a degree in business management from Youngstown State University.
