Piersons mark 50th anniversary at open house

COLUMBIANA -- Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Pierson of 700 Springfield Road, were honored by family members and friends Aug. 24 as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary during an open house reception that was held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Firestone Park.
Hosts were their daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Ray Sell, and their two grandsons, all of Columbiana.
The former Wanda Robinson and Mr. Pierson were united in marriage Aug. 30, 1952. The couple spent most of their married life in Champion prior to moving to Columbiana.
Mr. Pierson, a U.S. Army veteran, retired after 32 years of employment with Packard Electric in Warren.
