Schedule
Several events planned for the International New Castle Summit of the World will be open to the public. For more information on any of the events, call Kelly Adamczyk at (724) 656-3511.
SEPT. 29
11:30 a.m. -- Two luncheons at the Scottish Rite Cathedral. One is a business card exchange-economic development luncheon and the other is the official opening luncheon. Both are open to the public. The cost is $15.
1 p.m. -- All-American pep rally and opening ceremonies that include the exchange of international flags. Free and open to the public.
7 to 10 p.m. -- Back to the '50s car cruise and dinner at Cascade Park. Cost is $45 per person.
SEPT. 30
Delegates will spend all day at Slippery Rock University discussing environmental issues. The programs are open to delegates, college students and some selected high school students from Lawrence County. There is limited space for the public.
OCT. 1
8:50 a.m. -- Dedication of Friendship Park, located near the Central Building in downtown New Castle, to Shinshiro, Japan. A walking tour of downtown New Castle will follow. Both are open to the public.
Delegates will spend the afternoon at Westminster College and touring the countryside.
Dinner -- Vegas night at the New Castle Country Club. Limited space is available. For details, call Adamczyk.

The delegation leaves at 9 a.m. for New Castle, Ind.
