Cunninghams renew vows for anniversary
POLAND -- Marriage vows were renewed by Mr. and Mrs. John Cunningham, 2516 Coblentz Drive, at 6 p.m. Sept. 14 as they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.
The garden ceremony took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Plaskett, 8041 N. Palmyra Road, and was followed by a reception in the couple's restored 1800s barn.
Invitations for the event were extended by the Cunningham's daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Chris Tiberio of Boardman, Kellie and Jeff Sipas of Redington Shores, Fla., and Karrie and Jerald Plaskett of Austintown. There are nine grandchidlren in the family.
The former Sally Steen and Mr. Cunningham were married June 29, 1957, at Poland Presbyterian Church. They are members of Youngstown Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cunningham retired in 1998 from Mary Kay Cosmetics where she was a director. She is a member of Altrusa International, and is a past president of Poland Business Association.
Mr. Cunningham retired in 1992 as a manager with Westfield Insurance Co. in Poland. He served nine years as a councilman in Poland Village, is a past president of Youngstown Claims Association and of the Claims Managers Council. He is also a member of Elks Lodge 1912 and the American Legion in Madeira Beach, Fla.
The couple spend their winters at Indian Shores, Fla.
