CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- Christine Amendola and Dr. Gian M. Novaro, both of 1440 Lantana Court, Weston, Fla., exchanged marriage vows before the Rev. Willie Garcia-Tunon during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Aug. 17 at St. Hugh Catholic Church.
The newlyweds later accepted congratulations during a reception at the Omni Colonnade Hotel then left for a honeymoon in Italy. They live at the Weston address.
The bride is a daughter of Lawrence Amendola of Boardman and the late Carol Amendola. The groom is a son of Alina Novaro of Miami.
Matron of honor was Terri Jones of London, England, the sister of the bride. Flower girl was Meredith Jones of London, the bride's niece.
Serving as best man was Robert Reyna of Seattle. Ushers were Marcus Amendola and Tyler Amendola, both of Boardman, the brothers of the bride, and John Paul Mendez of Miami, the groom's cousin. Ring bearer was Nicholas Jones of London, the bride's nephew.
Mrs. Novaro graduated from Youngstown State University. She is employed in pharmaceutical hospital sales with Merck & amp; Co. Inc. in Florida.
A cardiologist, Dr. Novaro completed a residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and a cardiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland. He is employed at the Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston.
