AUSTINTOWN -- Dan Teminsky of Boardman, a cook at the Eat'n Park Restaurant in Austintown, was one of 11 regional winners in the restaurant chain's first Culinary Excellence Championship. Participants were nominated as the best cooks by fellow employees at each of the company's 77 eateries, and they were judged on their performance in a written test and the preparation of menu items.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Lisa Nagy-Baker of Youngstown was named president-elect of the National Court Reporters Association at the organization's annual convention in Orlando, Fla. An active member of the NCRA, Nagy-Baker is a Certified Realtime Reporter and a Registered Diplomat Reporter, which is the highest level of certification a court reporter can attain within the NCRA. She has an associate degree in court/conference reporting from Youngstown State University and owns Nagy-Baker Court Reporting, Inc., a free-lance agency.
EAST LIVERPOOL -- Marvin H. Feldman of East Liverpool is the 2002 Million Dollar Round Table Immediate Past President and a member of its five-member executive committee after serving the past year at the helm of the Park Ridge, Ill.-based organization. He was founder and is now a director of the First National Community Bank in East Liverpool.
NEW WATERFORD -- Angie Mackall of New Waterford has successfully completed the 2002 QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification exams through Intuit. A 1996 Youngstown State University accounting graduate, she is a certified public accountant and training seminar instructor for the Yurchyk and Davis accounting firm.
CANFIELD -- William A. Delorenzo of Canfield has been appointed to the Ohio Adult Care Facilities Board of Directors in Columbus, representing adult day centers around the state. Delorenzo is an owner and operator of EpiCenter, an adult day-care center in Steubenville.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Joel D. Matthews, a senior financial adviser with American Express Financial Advisors, has been named a Platinum Financial Services adviser. The Platinum division offers specialized services to affluent clients.
