KATHLEEN SLAVENSTIMOTHY ROBBINS
YOUNGSTOWN - Married Aug. 9 in the gardens at Stambaugh Auditorium were Kathleen Slavens, 2219 Fifth Ave., and Timothy Robbins of Russellville, Ark., who also were honored during a reception in the Marble Room at Stambaugh.
Youngstown Mayor George M. McKelvey officiated at the 7 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Rose Anne Slavens, 4206 Rush Blvd., and the late Russell Slavens and the son of William Robbins and Anne Harbison, both of Russellville.
The couple live at the Fifth Avenue address. They plan a castle tour of Ireland in October.
A sweeping cathedral train detailed the bride's white satin gown styled with a corselet bodice.
Mrs. Robbins graduated with a juris doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law and earned an undergraduate degree at Youngstown State University. She is the deputy law director for the city of Youngstown.
Mr. Robbins attended Ouachita Baptist University, Arkadelphia, Ark. He is the owner and president of the Central Columbiana and Pennsylvania Railroad, Dardanelle and Russellville Railroad, the Ouachita Railroad and Arkansas Short Line Railroads.
The niece of the bride, Ashley Slavens of Youngstown, was honor attendant. She wore a periwinkle dress.
Brian Slavens Jr. of Youngstown, the nephew of the bride, attended the groom.
The bride was escorted by her brother, Brian Slavens of Youngstown.
