Brookfield stays in hunt with win



BROOKFIELD -- Megan Taylor finished with 15 points and 27 assists, while Whitney Keyser had 19 kills and 16 digs, as Lakeview High defeated Brookfield 15-13, 17-15 in a Trumbull Athletic Conference volleyball match on Thursday.
The Bulldogs improved to 6-2 overall and 5-1 in the TAC.
The Warriors (3-5, 3-3) were led by Rachel Pasquerilla with eight points, nine digs and eight assists, while Jessica Zabroski had six kills and 24 digs and Regina Deramo had 19 digs and 11 assists.
Liberty 15-15, Badger 5-8
LIBERTY -- Mary Massaro had 10 points, six aces and five assists to lead Liberty (4-5, 1-5), while Laura Callow added six points, Karie Rice four kills and Becki Bruno had two digs.
Badger (0-7, 0-7) was led by Jenna Bush with seven points and three digs, while Jessica Klingensmith had two aces, Stephanie Tingler one assist and Katie Brainard one kill.
Champion 15-14-15,LaBrae 13-15-4
CHAMPION -- Jen Seifert scored 12 points, with two aces and seven saves for the Golden Flashes (4-3, 3-3 TAC). Michelle Canatsey had nine points, two aces and seven kills.
Kellie Blazsek paced LaBrae (3-5, 3-3) with seven points. Amanda Gordon had eight kills and three blocks.
