Poker Run benefit
Several Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana County Pizza Hut restaurants are teaming with area motorcycle enthusiasts, Y-103 Radio and Leon's Bar & amp; Grille for Smokin' Bill's Relay for Life Poker Run Saturday to raise money for the Trumbull County American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. The ride will begin at 10 a.m. at Leon's, 1111 Niles-Cortland Road, Howland. The registration fee is $12, $10 if pre-registered. Participants will receive a punch card, which will be the rider's ticker for a free buffet dinner at Leon's at the conclusion of the event, and a playing card at each stop along the route. Wick Park ROTC use
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown State University Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps will use Wick and Crandall Park for ROTC leadership and tactical training from 8:30 to 9:50 a.m. on the following Wednesdays: Oct. 11, 18 and 25, and Nov. 1, 8, and 15. Both parks will also be used during spring semester.
War vehicle rally
HUBBARD -- The World War II Vehicle Museum and Learning Center, 5959 W. Liberty St., will have a Vehicle Rally/Swap Meet Friday through Sunday. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. The event will include vendors selling military and vehicle items and parts, displays and living history re-enactors .
