Gospel hip-hop event toasts release of artist's CD

YOUNGSTOWN -- TheBeatLab Productions is sponsoring a CD release party at 7 p.m. Friday in the Chestnut Room of Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University. There will be a free album release concert.
This gospel hip-hop event will feature TheBeatLab's first artist, Judah E., a young minister from Cleveland who is attending YSU.
He'll perform songs from his debut album, "Scriptures." Also performing are local artists such as The Warriors, Infinite, Rapture, and PG-13 along with areas dancers, mimes, and vocalists.
TheBeatLab is a newly founded partnership of four young men from the Mahoning and Trumbull counties, all of whom are either YSU students or YSU alumnus. Derek Dixie, Micah Anderson, Andrew Cooks and Darryl Anderson II started the TheBeatLab in early 2001.
The purpose of this organization was, and still is, to produce music from all genres, prove that good music knows no boundaries, to lift up the community and give God praise.
XIn addition to the concert, the CD will be on sale at www.thebeatlab.com or local record stores.
