LOCAL VICTIMS



These people with ties to the Mahoning and Shenango valleys are among the nearly 3,000 people confirmed dead in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks against the United States .
WORLD TRADE CENTER
BRAD FETCHET, 25, a native of Liberty living in New Canaan, Conn. He was a broker with Keefe, Bruyette & amp; Woods Inc., a brokerage and investment banking firm with offices on the 89th floor of 2 World Trade Center, also known as the South tower, the second tower hit. His grandparents, Peter and Betty Fetchet, live in Liberty. His father, Frank Fetchet of New Canaan, Conn., is a Liberty native.
RUTH KETLER, 43, a native of Grove City, Pa., living in New York City. She was director of research for Fiduciary Trust Company International and was on the top floor of the South Tower during the attack. Her aunt, Alice Ketler, lives in Grove City.
REBECCA KOBORIE, 48, of Guttenberg, N.J., a 1971 graduate of Sharon (Pa.) High School. An executive secretary with Marsh & amp; McLennan Companies, she was thought to be at work on the 97th floor of 1 World Trade Center, or the North Tower, the first to be struck.
LUDWIG PICARRO, 44, a New Castle, Pa., native. He was vice president for Zurich American Insurance Co., whose offices are near the World Trade Center, and he was at a meeting on the 100th floor of the South Tower. He was living in Basking Ridge, N.J., with his wife, Susan, also a New Castle native.
CATHERINE SALTER, 36, a 1982 Wellsville High School graduate. Salter worked for Aon Corp. in the South Tower. Her mother, Eleanor Salter, lives in Rogers.
THE PENTAGON
TERRY LYNCH, 49, a 1970 Ursuline High School graduate, was doing consulting work for Booz Allen Hamilton, a global company with offices in Virginia. He lived in Mount Vernon, Va., with his wife, the former Jacqueline Frechko, a 1971 Austintown Fitch High School graduate. His parents are Thomas and Cathleen Lynch of Northville, Mich., formerly of Austintown.
MARTHA RESZKE, 56, worked as a budget analyst at the Department of Defense/Army Resources. Her husband, James, is a former Austintown resident now living in Stafford, Va. Two of his sisters still live in this area: Lorraine Hughes of Austintown and Peggy Alfred of Youngstown.
