Awards, achievements
YOUNGSTOWN -- Scott Hockenberry of Cohen & amp; Co. Certified Public Accountants in Youngstown has been named president of the Mahoning Valley Chapter of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants. A Boardman resident, Hockenberry is a senior manager in the Cohen & amp; Co's accounting and auditing department. He is a Youngstown State University graduate with degrees in accounting and management and is both a certified public accountant and a certified management accountant.
WARREN -- Seventeen sales associates at Eaton Group GMAC Real Estate earned membership in the Ohio Association of Realtors' prestigious President's Sales Club of 2002 by achieving yearly sales of more than $1 million. John Eaton and Jody Sova were presented the association's Award of Distinction for achieving more than $2.5 million in sales.
Associates who achieved annual sales topping $1 million are Chris Belmaggio, Karen Colucci, Julie Dolezal, Lana Eaton, Susan Evans, Audrey Geskey, Lisa Hamad, Sandy Mac Dougall, Yvonne Smith, Mary Sohayda, Christine Sutton, Sandy Van Huffel, Julie Vugrinovich, Jamie Williams and Janet White.
BOARDMAN -- Maria Koman, skating director at the Ice Zone in Boardman, and Quinn Weaver, groups and schools coordinator at the Ice Zone, have earned certifications from the Ice Skating Institute, an international trade association of the ice arena industry. Koman earned a certificate of ice arena management from the Ice Arena Institute of Management, and Weaver earned a Certificate of Ice Programming.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Jewelers of America has awarded James Letera of King's Jewelry, Youngstown, the designation of JA Certified Bench Jeweler Technician. Letera is the fourth bench jeweler in Ohio and the 98th nationwide to receive the title. A graduate of Union Area High School in New Castle, Pa., Letera is certified by the Diamond Council of America as a certified diamontologist and gemologist. He has been with King's Jewelers for five years.
HUBBARD -- Lighting Products Inc., a division of ATC Lighting and Plastics Inc., has been awarded its ISO14001 Certification. Seymour Stein is president and chief executive of the Hubbard company, Joe Kany is safety and environment manager and Judi Melnik is human resources director.
