Dr. Ralph E. Snelson of Warren will receive the 2002 Ohio Dental Association Distinguished Dentist Award, the association's highest honor, Friday in Columbus.

He is a fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the Academy of General Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry International. He is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon professional fraternity.
Dr. Snelson served as campaign chairman in 2000 for United Way of Trumbull County, the 100 For the Future of Trumbull County president from 1998-2000, and on the boards of 2 North Park, Trumbull Lifelines, SCOPE, the Boy Scouts, Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital and Christ Episcopal Church Foundation.
