Boardman rallies for 2-0 win over Niles



BOARDMAN -- After a scoreless first half, senior Janeen Masternick and junior Lauren Callahan scored Saturday as the Boardman High girls soccer team defeated Niles, 2-0.
Masternick's goal came 15 minutes into the second half with an assist from senior Pam Prystash. A minute later, Callahan scored for the Spartans (2-2) with an assist from junior Sarah Grabert. Boardman goalie Liz Agnew had 10 saves while Niles' Emily Pahon and Stephanie Parish had five saves apiece for the Red Dragons. Boardman plays at Uniontown Lake on Monday.
GlenOak 1, Fitch 1
NORTH CANTON -- Freshman Dina Harris scored for Fitch (3-0-2) with 3:49 to go in the first half and Abbie Sullivan scored with 6:20 remaining in the game for GlenOak (2-1-2). Senior goalie Alison Chasko had seven saves for Fitch while Courtney McBride had 11 saves for GlenOak. Fitch had the shots-on-goal advantage, 24-10.
Warren JFK 4, Maplewood 0
WARREN -- Allie Hazboun scored three goals for the Eagles (1-2-1). Lexie Polivka scored the other goal on an assist by Abbey Ross. Polivka also assisted on one of Hazboun's goals. Maplewood is 0-4-0.
