YOUNGSTOWN Ground zero memorabilia to be housed at McDonough

YOUNGSTOWN -- The McDonough Museum of Art will house a temporary display of memorabilia from ground zero Monday through Friday during regular museum hours.
A former Youngstown State University student, Stacy Ebert, donated items to be exhibited to YSU's criminal justice department.
Ebert graduated from YSU in 1995 with degrees in criminal justice and sociology before going to work for the FBI in New York City.
From Sept. 11, 2001, through July 2002, Ebert sifted through debris from the World Trade Center at ground zero and Fresh Kills Landfill.
Ebert presented items she recovered, including a flag flown at the landfill Sept. 12, 2001, through July 28 and a WTC Christmas ornament with a picture of the towers, to YSU to connect the people of Youngstown to the terror attacks.
The collection will eventually be put on permanent display at an undetermined location.
Museum hours are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Wednesday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
