Angels fund-raiser
CANFIELD -- The fifth annual Angels for Animals Motorcycle Run will be Sunday. The starting point will be at Harley Davidson of Youngstown, 4478 Boardman-Canfield Road, at 10:30 a.m. There will be door prizes, a 50/50 drawing, food and music. The cost is $25 per bike. All proceeds benefit Angels for Animals. The rain date is Sept. 15.
Skate Zone food drive
AUSTINTOWN -- Skate Zone Family Fun Center, 5420 Mahoning Ave., will sponsor a peanut butter and jelly food drive from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 16. People donating a jar of peanut butter or jelly will receive free admission. The food will be donated to Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley to be used in food baskets.
American Indian show
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- The King Beaver Archeology Club will have an American Indian art and artifact show at the Lawrence County Historical Society's Joseph A. Clavelli History Center at 408 N. Jefferson St. The show will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. People from the region will display their private collections and be on hand to answer questions. Food and beverages will be available throughout the day.
Free haircuts offered
POLAND -- Firefighters, police officers and emergency medical technicians can get a free haircut Wednesday as a tribute to 9/11, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Xclusively You, 71 W. McKinley Way. No appointment is needed, but bring proper identification.
