XASHLAND -- A reception at the Ashland University Convocation Center followed the Sept. 21 wedding of Julia M. Helal and William C. Kay, who were married at 2:30 p.m. that day at St. Edward Church by the Rev. David Nuss.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Edward Helal, 112 Cooper Drive, and Mr. and Mrs. William Kay, 755 Blueberry Hill Drive, Canfield.
The couple honeymooned at Dunn's River Falls, Jamaica, and are living at 654 Woodduck Court, Columbus.
The bride wore a white strapless gown of Italian silk. The waistline was trimmed with crystal beading.
Meghan Arndts was matron of honor, and maid of honor was Alice Dudon. They wore black two-piece gowns, as did the bridesmaids, Monica McArdle, Julie Ditcher, Amy Phipps, Kerri Sponster, Jennifer Teske and Beth Bergan. Flower girls were the bride's nieces, Nicole, Ashley, Samantha and Riley Helal.
The groom's father was best man, and serving as groomsmen were Jeff Dobyns, Matt Hilliard, Andy Parker, Brian Moore, Dan D'Agostino and Brent Probasco. Ethan Kalina, the groom's nephew, was ring bearer.
Mrs. Kay is a graduate of Ohio University in Athens with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She is an account manager for Mindleaders Inc. in Columbus.
Her husband also holds a bachelor's degree from OU. He is an investment representative with Edward Jones Co. in Reynoldsburg.
