In a separate case, a woman has been jailed on disorderly conduct charges.
MERCER -- A Harrisville man was given a prison term Tuesday for assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
Judge Francis Fornelli of Mercer County Common Pleas Court sentenced Jeremiah Uber, 20, of County Line Road, to three months to two years for misdemeanor simple assault and 45 to 90 days for criminal mischief. He was given 84 days' credit for time served.
On Jan. 8, he struck and kicked a former girlfriend in the face and back, then threatened her while being placed under arrest, according to the criminal complaint. He also smashed the windsheld of her car and dented the hood by jumping on it at a Centertown Road address in Wolf Creek Township.
Exzabria Harrison, 24, also known as Sherri Anderson, of Prospect Street, Sharon, was sentenced to six to 12 months each for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest and three to six months for obstructing justice.
She was given 26 days' credit for time served.
According to court documents, Harrison struggled and fought May 4, 2001, with two Southwest Mercer County Regional Police officers while being arrested in the 700 block of Lee Avenue, Farrell.
She struck Officer Jon Rococi on the head with a cordless phone, causing head injuries requiring medical treatment, and damaged his shoulder microphone.
She also shouted obscenities while officers were placing a man under arrest and tried to remove cigarettes from the man's pocket, refusing to stop after the officers warned her repeatedly.
