FRIDAY
XBloomfield High School Junior Class will sponsor a fish and shrimp dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria, 2077 Park Road West, North Bloomfield. Fish dinners are $4.25 and $4.50, and shrimp dinners are $5. Carryout orders also will be available.
XHoly Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will be selling potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-ins will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide containers.
XHoly Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod, Spanish rice or haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries, coleslaw, bread, and coffee or tea. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.. at (330) 792-1005.
XHoly Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pirogi, hot pirogi lunches, and plain, cinnamon and powdered sugar doughnuts. Orders will be taken from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528. Orders should be placed early and are to be picked up by 2 p.m. Friday. Takeouts are by advance order only. Cost is $3.50 for a dozen pirogi.
XHubbard VFW 3767 Auxiliary, 710 W. Liberty St., will hold a fish fry from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Cost is $6 for large dinners, baked or fried and $4.25 for small dinners. XSt. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be making and selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Friday. Orders must be picked up by 1 p.m. Friday.

XSt. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will be baking Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 8 and noon only. Pickup will be until 1 p.m.
XSt. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Youngstown, will make boil-in-the-bag sweet cabbage and potato and cheese pirogi. Orders must be made in advance and may be called to (330) 743-0419 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Shady Run Activity Center, 3800 Shady Run Road, Youngstown. Walkins are welcome.
XSt. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. to noon Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Frozen pirogi will be available.
XSt. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi every Friday. Advance orders are taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8:30 to 2:30 Friday upon availability. The cost is $3.50 a dozen. Lunches are served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Fridays. SATURDAY
XAustintown Community Church, 242 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will be the site for a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. to benefit the Daniel Conway Fund. Meals will feature spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and beverage and are priced at $5 for adults and $3.50 for children. Takeouts will be available. Tickets may be purchased by calling the St. E's Mobile Intensive Care Unit at (330) 480-6428. Conway suffers from promyelocytic leukemia and is at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati for a bone marrow transplant.
XFirst United Methodist Church, Main Street, Mineral Ridge, will hold its annual turkey dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Reservations are not required, and carryouts will be available. Dinners will feature turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, cranberries, rolls and butter, apple or pumpkin pie, coffee and tea. Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for children 6-12 and free to children 5 and under.
XGood Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., North Lima, will have its annual Krautfest, a family-style kraut and kielbasa dinner, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. A craft and bake sale will also be held.
XKinsman Presbyterian Church will hold a turkey dinner and bazaar Saturday at the education building, 6383 Church St., Kinsman. Full course turkey dinners will be served beginning at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults, $3.50 for those 4 to 12, and free for those 3 and under. Bazaar booths open at 1 p.m.
XLordstown Christian Church will sponsor a harvest dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Lordstown Administration Building, 1455 Salt Springs Road, Lordstown. The meal will feature turkey and all the fixings, and cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.
XPricetown United Methodist Church will hold its annual turkey dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at Newton Falls Middle School, 909 Milton Blvd., Newton Falls. Meals are $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 5-12 and free to children 4 and under.
XThe Woman's Guild of Queen of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, will hold an Italian Fest from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 9 featuring wedding soup, pasta, meatballs and sauce, sausage with onions and peppers, bread, beverage and dessert. XCapt. Charles M. Marino Post 3, Italian-American War Veterans, 113 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will serve spaghetti dinners from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. XRotary Club of Salem will have its 42nd annual Pancake Day from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the high school cafeteria, 1200 E. XSt. Rose Church, 48 Main St. East, Girard, is sponsoring a pumpkin pie sale, and orders may be placed until Nov. 10 by calling the church rectory, (330) 545-4351. The homemade, fresh frozen nine-inch pies will come with baking instructions. The cost is $6.50. Pickup will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 24 at the church. Proceeds will benefit the annual church festival in 2003.
