GIRARD -- A honeymoon to Maui and Kauai, Hawaii, followed the wedding of Jay DasVarma and his bride, the former Rebecca Zirafi, both of 4304 Janwood Drive, Copley, who were married by the Rev. Peter Haladej during a 2 p.m. ceremony Sept. 28 at St. Rose Church.
The daughter of Anthony and Patricia Zirafi, 441 Ward Ave., and the son of Dr. Ranendra and Janet DasVarma, 661 Beaverbrook Drive, Akron, were honored during a reception at Leo's Ristorante and Banquet Center, Howland.
The bride wore a satin A-line gown styled with a V-neckline. She carried a beaded bouquet handmade by her sister, Debbie Johnson.
Wearing mocha-colored dresses were the bride's sister and honor attendant, Amy Zirafi, and bridesmaids, Kelly Johnson, her niece; Julie Pfeiffer, the groom's sister; and Kerry Gates, Chrissy Criscione, Robin Durkin, Traci Harbal and Danyl Steele. Junior bridesmaids were Krista Johnson and Molly Breese, her nieces.
The groom's brother, Robby DasVarma, served as best man. Groomsmen were Tom Pfeiffer, his brother-in-law; Tim Breese, the bride's nephew; and Adam Baker, Ed Breehl, Steve Press, Ryan DeMuesy and Tom McConnell.
Mrs. DasVarma graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in advertising. She is an account executive at Arras Group in Cleveland.
Mr. DasVarma earned a degree in accounting at Ohio State University and a law degree at the University of Toledo Law School. He is a tax analyst at Baker & amp; Hostetler in Cleveland.
