Our Lady of Fatima marks 50th anniversary

FARRELL, Pa. -- Our Lady of Fatima Parish is celebrating its 50th anniversary as well as the 100th anniversary of its "Mother Church."
Bishop Donald W. Trautman of the Eric Catholic Diocese will say Mass at the church at 601 Roemer Blvd. at 2 p.m. Nov. 3 to mark the occasion.
He will also dedicate the new addition to the front of the church and six new stained-glass windows.
A reception will follow in the church basement, and at 5:30 p.m., a dinner will be served in Fatima Hall with more than 300 guests expected to attend.
Our Lady of Fatima was dedicated Oct. 26, 1952, the result of the unification of St. Elizabeth Church and St. Anthony de Padua Church.
St. Elizabeth, considered to be the "Mother Church," was established in 1902. St. Anthony de Padua was established in 1904.
